FEBRUARY
Outing Saturday Feb 25th - Lower Mountain Fork
River at Beavers Bend State Park, Broken Bow, OK
Doug Haskins and John Johnson asked everyone
to meet them at the bridge by the "evening hole" on
Saturday at noon. BYOB (Baloney Sandwich) It will
be a tail gait get-together.

Outing Saturday March 24th - Sowbug Roundup
Outing this month is in Mountain Home, AR
We will have a cookout on Saturday night 6:45PM
at Dave Hall's house on the White River. The
house is located upstream from Rim Shoals. Drive
to Rim Shoals, when you cross over the RR tracks
at the fly shop turn right and go down the gravel
road marked 'private'. Last house on the left. If you
plan to attend, please bring a side dish to share
and notify me fckirk@yahoo.com so I know how
many to expect. TulsaFlyFishers will provide
the burgers and brats!

FEBRUARY
Saturday Feb 11th Jenks Adult Education Day
A class on the basics of fly fishing is being
presented in Jenks. There will be 33 students for
the 5 hour class; a classroom presentation is
scheduled for the morning. After lunch the group
will be divided into three 11 person groups for
casting at pool edge. Those not casting will visit
fly tyers and a “rigging & knots” table. Volunteers
are needed: 3 tyers, 1-2 riggers and 2-4 casters.
Volunteers may contact Scott Hood.
Tuesday/Wednesday February 14th & 15th
Trout in Classroom needs helpers for a “What
Makes a Trout Tick” dissection at East Central
High on Feb 14th to start at 10:20, noon, and 2:
10. On Feb 15th the classes start at 8:15, noon,
and 2:10. Volunteers may contact any board
member.
February 16-19 is the Mid-South Tackle and Hunt
Show at the Spirit Bank Center in Bixby.
We need 20 volunteers over these four days. If
you can distribute brochures and promote Trout
Unlimited and Tulsa Fly Fishers you're qualified.
Flipping a Fly-O or demonstrating fly tying are
desirable, but not necessary skills.

Monday Feb. 20 KIDS ONLY DAY
Located in LaFortune Park at the Gardens Park
Pond 51st Street South Hudson Ave. Sponsored
by Oklahoma Chapter of Trout Unlimited, Tulsa
