Green Country Fly Fishers and Tulsa Fly Fishers annual Christmas Party
Where: Sterlings Grill, Bartlesville, OK
Menu and Cost:
We will have a choice of chicken, filet or fish along with a choice of pecan or pumpkin pie. The price will be $20 which includes the
meal, dessert, iced tea, tip and tax. In other words, it’s all inclusive. There will be a cash bar.
Make reservations by email to Party@greencountryflyfishers.com with your choice of main dish and pie.
There will be a drawing for a Hardy Demon 4 wt 8 foot 4 piece fly rod and a Demon 3000 reel with 2 spare spools. A $10 donation to
the Green Country Flyfishers projects will enter you the drawing for this $875 valued rod and reel. The Club wants to thank Big Carp
Tackle for donating the reel and Hardy and Greys for donating the rod. Please visit their web site and consider their products.

Tulsa Trout Pond Opening Dec 26, 2010
The pond will once again be located in LaFortune Park near the corner of South 51st Street & Hudson Avenue in the Garden Park
pond. The pond will be stocked with trout and open for fishing on Dec 26th for everyone! Two additional trout stockings will take
place during the winter months. Two selected Monday holidays will be “kids only” days at the pond, these dates will coincide with
“schools out” days in Tulsa. Monday, February 21 and Monday March 14 are the current planned “kid’s only” days. Parents and
grandparents looking for that unique “something to do” over these holidays should watch for further announcements regarding
these and other special fishing days being planned at the pond in the coming months.
Funding for the trout pond comes from NatureWorks , the Oklahoma Chapter of Trout Unlimited and individual contributors. Thanks
to Tulsa County Parks Department for their efforts in posting signs and the use of the pond, the Tulsa World and the BA Ledger for
publicity, and the ODWC for Game Warden support and permission to stock trout.

DAVE & EMILY WHITLOCK will be our guest speakers for this months meeting. The program is free and open to the public, so
come early for best seating, doors open at 6:30pm.
The club "fund raiser" will be a "Day With Dave and Emily for Four People" ... 2 tickets for $10.00 ... 5 for $20.00... best to
get your group of 4 together to parlay 20 chances for $80.00. The winning ticket holder will take three buddies with them for a day
with Dave and Emily. What is a Day with Dave and Emily? These are instructional days of fly fishing and/or fly tying customized by
you in order to work on whatever specific elements of fly fishing you would like to perfect. More details are available on their web

Dave & Emily will have lots of special items and artwork there for purchasing. Bring your favorite Whitlock book for an autograph.
DRAWING FOR FREE WINSTON ROD AND ABEL REEL
At the November 11th meeting Valley deferred the rod drawing due to attendance records for the first 4 months of 2010 being
missing. With a quick search of my "email sent" files, I found the email I sent to Valley Branscum, Greg Dodds and Scott Hood on
June 17,2010. This email included the attached attendance records. Those records have been recovered from this email and are
available for the drawing! So come see if you are the lucky winner on January 13, 2011!
