Monthly Club Meetings, Club Outings and Events in our Area
April 17, 2010 (Saturday)
Because they have been running water at Beaver and in order to have less confusion on where to have lunch, the
board has decided to move morning fishing and the lunch to Roaring River. (We will be at one of the pavillions near
the catch and release area.) Look for the TU banner in the park - Lunch will be served around 12:15PM) We will be
providing Chili Dogs and fixings and paper goods, and Valley has promised Choclate Chip Cookies (yum). Bring your
own drink and if you would like to bring a side dish or dessert, please do. Please RSVP if you know you are coming
so we can have some idea how many hotdogs to fix. IF YOU DON'T DECIDE UNTIL SATURDAY, JUST COME AHEAD as
we'll have some extras...

Smallmouth Rendezvous and Fly Tying Extravaganza
The Smallmouth Rendezvous and Fly Tying Extravaganza has a unique approach to inviting fly tiers to the event. Both
the best tiers in the country and beginning tiers are welcome. The informal format of the event allows the tiers to
interact and learn from each other. There are no set schedules for the tiers to be at their station, but each tier will
have a station available for both days to use as they wish. Email Chuck Harrison flyty2@yahoo.com if you would like
to join in the fun.

This month's outing is a joint effort with our friends from Green Country Flyfishers. We are going to Kansas to fish
some strip mines. Green Country Flyfishers are very familiar with the place and from what I've heard it's a pretty place
and the fishing is fantastic. Look for more details in the May newsletter and updates here.

Trout Unlimited Stream Clean-Up Day on the Lower Illinois River. Last year we had a great day and removed a lot of
trash from our river. Hopefully, this year will be easier. Tulsa Fly Fisher's and Oklahoma Trout Unlimited will provide
food for all participants. Everyone is encouraged to bring a side dish or desert to share. Look for more details in our
Newsletter.

Dick Turnbull will be our speaker. His program will be over casting and improving your casting. We are looking
forward too hearing everyones summer fishing tales.
