Cold, wind and a little mist at Lake Pawhuska. Fishing was slow but we had some good chili and cookies! We drove through Hominy, OK on return and Ed Kessey captured the town's many murals in his photos. Slide Show
We had about a dozen of us show up for the Sowbug Round-up in Mountain Home, AR on March 18 &19 2011. The lakes on the White river system being low this year meant we enjoyed low water and great wading the entire weekend. The caddis hatch was on and the fishing was good. rented the house which is located just up river from Rim Shoals next to Jenkins Creek at Red Bud Shoals. The house has three bedrooms and three baths and was a great value too. There was plenty of room for everyone and the charcoal grill handled all the brats and burgers for our entire group. If you are interested in a nice place right on the river with walk-in access check it out here: Dave Hall's White River Property Click these two links for pictures of the outing.
